Since President's Day is around the corner, lets take some time to reflect on the many faces of our nation and highlight the good, the bad, and yes, the ugly.
The Good
Without delving into a history lesson, or having to cite every fact about each president. Here are a few memorable moments from more recent years that are worth sharing.
Obama Strikes back!
This was a GREAT moment at the 2012 Commencement Dinner when Obama strikes back at Donald Trump's accusations over Obama's true country of Origin. After releasing his "birth video" as proof of his origin, it was clear from the audience response that Obama had indeed trumped Trump. Barak: 1 Trump: Toupe
President Clinton Introduces Nominated film "Lincoln" at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards
This was a feel good moment and I was happy to see a President introduce this movie as it represented a crucial moment in Presidential history. I still haven't seen Lincoln, but I definitely will. It supposedly was very historically accurate, a little long, but worth it to see.
Memorable Speeches from JFK to Clinton
Yeah I had to throw in this gem. How perfect for Presidents Day to have a compilation of important speeches made througout history? I have to say, it plays as a reminder of the strides we have made in history with the influence of these leaders. Ok, im done with the nostalgia over politics! Now for the dirt.
The Bad
Now that we have seen some proud moments from our Presidents, I feel much better about showing the not-so-proud moments of these candidates:
President Bush's "Victory Salute"
One of the many not-so-proud moments of this middle-aged Texan Candidate. Flipping the bird while the camera is rolling and babbling like a big-mouth bass.
Clinton Tells a Fib
If by saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" really means "I did have sexual relations with that woman," you would be telling the truth...either way, Monica Lewinsky got fired from the whitehouse and now she really understands what it's like to "aint got no bills."
Deep Throat Had a Big Mouth Too

Silly Nixon, spying is certainly not your forte
How did he win the popular vote?
Beating around the bush again I see....
The Ugly
This one is self-explainatory...

Bushin this kid's buttons

This little baby has spoken on behalf of every state but Texas
You've got a great Barakside

Looking for a Halloween Costume Idea? Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ is both easy to put together and happens to be one of our favorite looks! This costume is versatile and can also be worn long after Halloween. Oh, and did we mention- it's perfect for any budget!

A beautiful Dress from Modcloth, some blue hair bows, and our ruby Red Aerosoles Jackys are pulled together in this modern Wizard of Oz ensemble!

This Sketching Stories Dress from Modcloth has the right color and shape for Dorothy's Dress. We love the classic 50's-style shape of this dress especially the cinched neckline. The bell-shape skirt of the dress is very flattering, slimming down the waist-line and is complimentary to any body type. Wear this dress in the spring/summer months with flip-flops, flats, or wedges for a flirty, fun, new look.

Having the perfect shade of ruby red shoes is Vital to pulling off a Dorothy costume, after all, it's ALL about the shoes! This is why we chose the Aerosoles Jacky. The rich red coloring of these shoes gives off a sparkling shine like that of the famous ruby red slippers. The bows these shoes are the perfect topping for the look too! Wear these after halloween to add a splash of color to any black dress or to accent with a red top or red purse. Red is the color to look out for this fall- so nab these Jacky's while you can!

These robin's egg color bows are easy to clip on to the end of your braids to tie the outfit together. Not only are they a cute accessory that we are noticing more and more in the fashion world (which I think links back to lady GAGA), BUT these bows are only $2.99 on Amazon- seriously! Grab a pair of these bows online and if you really like them, you can buy them in Sage green and pink too!

We love the idea of adding ToTo for the final accessory! Of course, the outfit is defined with of with out Dorothy's canine companion. However, we found this little guy on Amazon for $14 and that includes the basket - so we figured- why not?

This year, we are finding more practical ways to put together the perfect costume without spending too much money. In this article we have put together our own Audrey Hepburn Look from her memorable role in Breakfast At Tiffany's using fashionable pieces that can also be worn long after Halloween!

As Seen Above:

1. First start with a long black dress. We chose this elegant Black Maxi Dress from NastyGal.com for only $38! Not only does this dress resemble the long, classic dress worn by Audrey Hepburn, but it's unllined, stretch fabric meterial makes it chic and comfortable. For a more formal look, like Audrey's, pair this dress with sleek black pumps and dazzling costume jewelry. However, what is best about this dress is that you can style it down into a day dress by adding simple flats paired with either a colorful knit or scarf for a stylish bohemian grunge look.
2. Next, we chose some extravagant accessories to liven up our look:

We found this Tiara hair-piece online for only $11! Ok, maybe this isn't a year-round item, but you can use it for next years Halloween costume as an ice princess or DivaThe beautiful rhinestone detail pulls the outfit together to give the look of absolute glamor! With rivets located at the back of the Tiara, this crown will stay in it's proper place on your head for an entire night of dancing!

3. This beautiful Rhinestone-Pearl Necklace is almost an exact replica of Audrey Hepburn's necklace- and guess what!- Its ONLY $12.50! This necklace is sure to turn any black dress into a ball gown. This necklace can match with any dress or formal outfit and make it sparkle!

4. Of course we needed the long black silk gloves to really make this outfit work. We found these gloves online for only $6.29! So maybe you won't wear these too often, but for $6.50 you can't go wrong!

5. Okay, maybe we splurged a little with this Rhinestone Clutch from Zara for $90.00, but it was just so pretty we couldn't help it! Plus, we would pair this beautiful piece with any formal outfit to really make a statement. However, if this piece is out of your price range, no worries! Its not eminent for the Audrey Hepburn look and any black or silver clutch will do!

6. Lastly- and how could we forget- THE SHOES! These Sofft Manhattans are the ultimate accessory to complete the Audrey Hepburn look phenomenally. We are obsessed with the ankle strap and the velvet lining- we can just picture Audrey Hepburn herself strutting along 5th Avenue in these picture perfect heels!
